League Overview

SSA+S participates in the Florida Gulf Coast League.  The FGCL is composed of private and charter institutions in Sarasota and Manatee counties.  The sports included in this league are boys and girls basketball, coed track/cross country, girls volleyball, girls and boys soccer, coed golf and Tennis. 

SSAS Athletic Policy: 

·      Each athlete must maintain a 2.0 gpa to be eligible for athletics

·      All required paperwork must be filled out COMPLETELY and on the desk of the Athletic director.  This consist of a physical, parental release, and a hold harmless agreement, all which need to be notarized.

·      All athletes must be under 15 years of age before the sport starts.

·      Athletes must be in attendance at school on all game days.

·      A $30.00 league fee is collected and must be paid to play sports at SSAS.

ALL STUDENTS INTERESTED IN REPRESENTING THE SPORT TEAMS AT SSA+S MUST HAVE A HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT, STATEMENT OF PARENTAL CONSENT, AND A PHYSICIANS PHYSICAL EXAMINATION BY THE FIRST PRACTICE. 

SOCCER AND VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS NEED TO GET THIS DONE BY THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR SO PRACTICE CAN BEGIN AS WE RETURN TO SCHOOL.
