Presentation Creation Criteria

 

Objective:

Given a completed “Communications Topic” paper, a computer with MS PowerPoint and various other instructional resources, the Technology student will create a presentation using sound design principles.

 

Assignment Process:

1.      Complete the “Communications Topic” paper.  (This will be your primary information source for your presentation.)

 

2.      Create a PowerPoint presentation using the following design considerations:

·        Accuracy /Appropriateness / Flow of the content. (This starts with a well-written paper)

·        Presentation content should be age-level appropriate? (8th Grade Level)

·        Preview / Review format should be used (Including a slide show title).

·        Use of appropriate contrast between slide elements.

·        6 x 6 = 24 Rule should be followed? (Content per slide)

·        The presentation should have an appropriate mix of clip art / pictures.

·        The presentation should have an appropriate use of text animations and slide transitions.

·        Accurate spelling, grammatical and sentence structure is required.

·        Presentation must show evidence of thoughtful design.

·        Submitted on time?

 

3.      Submit the final presentation to the CIS Powerpoints folder for your class period.  Title Line should read:  Communications Topic Presentation - Joe Student

 

4.      Save this presentation!  It will need to be posted to your CIS Website!  Not to mention you will need it for your eventual presentation…

 

5.      See your course schedule for the due date…
