SSA+S is GREAT in 2008

At SSA+S, we do our best to provide services for student identified as Gifted who have a current Gifted Program Educational Plan (EP) and those students who have a current Individual Education Plan (IEP). 

Services Provided for Students as Indicated on the Student's IEP

Resource Room:  one period a day, from one day a week to five days a week
Inclusion:  Intensive Language Arts classes and Intensive Math classes have an ESE teacher in the class to assist with students' needs at least three times a week.
Speech/Language Therapy:  As indicated on student's IEP
Occupational Therapy:  As indicated on student's IEP
Physical Therapy:  As indicated on student's IEP

ESE Liaison for SSA+S, 504 Compliance Officer,
6th grade Intensive Math Teacher

Mrs. Saetre is an inclusion teacher, a resource teacher, assists with scheduling services, and FCAT accommodations.  She is also one of our Operation Organization Teachers

Mr. Niemann is an inclusion teacher and a resource teacher.

Our gifted services are embedded in a Gifted Content Based Class.  This class is social studies.  All the students in the gifted social studies class are identified as gifted.  This class is taught by Ms. Susan Skedel.

Mr. Leach is the resource room teacher during 1st and 2nd period.and assists in regular education classes.
He is a First Responder if someone gets hurt at SSA+S.
