Job Title: Substitute Teacher

About the Position:

Our school is seeking energetic and motivated individuals who have a passion for student learners and their success. Implement the plans and follow schedule prepared by absent teacher. Follow all school/district policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates. Consults, as appropriate, with the Principal before initializing any lesson or other procedure not specified in the in the teachers plans. Reports in writing the day’s activities at conclusion of each day and/or provides feedback as requested by the principal.  Our substitute teachers are treated like family and make $130 for a full day and $65 for a half day.

Part-Time Bus Driver

POSITION SUMMARY: The part-time Bus Driver will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation service for our students. Transport students and staff to schools, field trips, and other locations as needed. Hours will vary; however, services will generally be required on weekdays between the hours of 7 am to 6 pm, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of experience transporting children highly desirable

  • Must possess a valid and active driver's license. Class B Commercial Driver’s License with School Bus (S), Passenger endorsements and Air Brake qualified is required.

  • Ability to meet federal/state/company driving standards (may include license verification, drug testing and driver's test).

  • Be able to drive the vehicle safely.

  • Must have compassion for and desire to work with children.

  • Must meet all health requirements as required by licensing and pass FDLE fingerprint and background checks.

  • Exemplifies appropriate behavior and is a role model for participants; actively listens to all children and shows patience, understanding, and respect for others.

  • Instructs and guides participants through the rules of riding the bus and ensures adherence to rules and expectations. Must perform emergency evacuations within first six weeks of each semester.

  • Immediately reports all unusual incidents or accidents to the Transportation Coordinator

  • No DWI/DUI convictions.

    CERTIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • CDL License Required with School Bus, Passenger, and Air Brake Endorsements

  • High school Diploma or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Successful completion of a 40 hour training course
